Hello ! I’m called Françoise Garrigue and teach English in a large, modern High School, Le Lycée du Coudon in La Garde,in the south of France.
There are almost 2,000 pupils aged 15 to 18, all studying English and at least another foreign language (German,Spanish,Italian,Arabic).
The pupils come from La Garde, a town situated near Toulon as well as neighbouring towns and villages. (more…)

On the 1st of November, when America and Western-Europe countries sleep after Halloween parties, Poland starts one of the most beautiful holiday in the Christian calendar - All Saints’ Day. Since early morning, the doors and the windows of our houses are left open to welcome spirits and souls. People believe that dead people , who now rest in heaven, may help us - living on earth.

Our hometown Iisalmi is a small- about 23000 citizens town surrounded by lakes- with almost everything you need packed in a small area. Actually the area which belongs to Iisalmi is quite big- even bigger than our capital Helsinki. Only the area that the people live in is small. (more…)

11th November… what’s the meaning of this date for Poland? Many people in the world don’t know it. However, it is a very important day for Poland, Europe and all the world. In 1918, after four years of fights, the First World War was finished. In Campiegene the truce was signed.

In Finland you can do and see almost everything. In the winter the whole country is covered with snow, normally from November to April, which gives many choices to do different things. For example skiinig, snowboarding and skating. You can also see the northern lights and meet Santa claus. (more…)

In Finland we have different kinds of hobbies. In winter we can ski and downhillski, also in Iisalmi. Best place to ski is Lappland. Some good and famous places are Ruka and Levi. There you can find the best mountains to downhillski. These places are also famous on abroad.
